Songwriter Background
Linda Diane Ball (1941–2023) wrote both the lyrics and music for the Christian hymn "In His Time." In 1975, while late for a speaking engagement at an Aglow meeting in Kelseyville, California, Ball composed the song during a family car trip to find peace, inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1–11. Maranatha! Music accepted it at a songwriters' conference at the Springs of Living Water centre, her parents' Christian facility, where she directed camps.
